Where to begin?
I love Amazon.co.uk's January sales. I always go a bit overboard with DVD orders in the after xmas sales, and this year was no exception. With this present economy, Amazon.co.uk started the January Sale well before xmas. This pic shows the contents of two out of the three packages I received yesterday. Almost all them were bought at 40 to 70% off and with the British Pound down from about $2 to $1.5, Amazon UK is now a better place to buy DVDs than Amazon.com. The cost of postage is negligble after VAT is deducted, as compared to Amazon USA where the shipping cost is too restrictive and Aramex Shop and Ship is now ridiculously expensive. I choose Air Post, the packages were dispatched on January 11th and collected here on the 17th. Now which one to watch first?Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone from Oman Mobile!

I didn't know you can order movies from the UK to Oman without any restrictions.
the good thing about comedy series' is that you can decide to stop watching the next episode easily as compared to suspense series'. so maybe 1 or 2 of 'how i met your mother' first.
I wanted to use Aramex as well but their prices are not so appealing. Does Air Post operate on the same principle and does Air Post have a local office?

Cocaine Cowboys sounds like fun. Then again, HIMYM is such a damn good show, it would be hard to recommend anything else (although if you went and bought the DVD you've probably already seen all of season 1 anyway).
Blue_Chi - You shoulda asked :) I've been ordering movies from Amazon for ten years now. No restrictions unless you really go overboard in the order size. If the box is too big the guy in the post office might ask to open it and if he sees more than 6 or 7 DVDs he'll send them to censors. The censors rarely bother to watch the discs. Usually they'll just ask you a couple questions and then give you your stuff back. Only happened to me a couple times over the past ten years.
Bongu - Sorry my bad, Amazon UK sends by Airmail, but it is through Deutsche Post which arrives in your mail box here in Oman and isn't trackable. It is quite quick. I've had some packages arrive in as little as three days, but usually its more like 7 to 10 days. And since VAT is deducted from the total price, the cost of postage comes out almost equal to the VAT.
Reverian - I've actually seen a couple episodes of HIMYM on Showtime last week. I've been oblivious of it till now. I don't usually buy TV shows that I've already seen.
I gave my wife the choice to decide what we'd watch next. She ignored all these new DVDs and chose Gossip Girl. Oh the agony...
Be careful from buying allot of DVDs, because they are getting replaced with Blue-Rays
YOU are very lucky. Every one of those DVD's would have been held up by officials in customs who would have had to watch every single movie, twice, to make sure there wasn't anything "bad" in them. I wouldn't dare try to ship DVD's in to Saudi. I'd pay for them - and only end up with a couple of them... Just not worth it, here.
